Head Coach Scott Allen earns 2024 Sun-Lakes Conference Coach of the Year

Coach Allen has been named the 2024 Sun-Lakes Conference Coach of the Year.

This season, he has guided the Lady Commodores to improve each week, helping them stay strong and consistent in the top 10 NJCAA DII Volleyball rankings. They're now ranked 5th in the nation with impressive stats, including 9th in kills per set (12.57), 14th in assists per set (11.36), 21st in hitting percentage (.224), and 28th in digs per set (17.93).

Coach Allen and the team are heading into the postseason with a record of 22-4 overall and an undefeated 14-0 in conference play.

At tonight's 2024 FCSAA/NJCAA DII South Atlantic District Championship banquet, four Lady Commodores were named to the All-Sun-Lakes Conference Team:

Danna Aguilera | Position: PIN
- Averages 3.6 kills and 3.3 digs per set, with a hitting percentage of .265
- Named to the All-Sun-Lakes Conference 1st Team and All-FCSAA/All-NJCAA Region 8 Team
Kya Colston | Position: MH
- Averages 3.4 kills and 0.2 digs per set, and has twice been named FCSAA DII Offensive Player of the Week
- Named to the All-Sun-Lakes Conference 1st Team and All-FCSAA/All-NJCAA Region 8 Team
Morgan Langley | Position: DS
- Averages 6.1 digs per set and has been named FCSAA DII Defensive Player of the Week five times, plus DII Defensive Player of the Week once
- Named to the All-Sun-Lakes Conference 1st Team and All-FCSAA/All-NJCAA Region 8 Team
Melany Salazar | Position: S
- Averages 6.36 assists per set with a total of 541 assists
- Named to the All-Sun-Lakes Conference 2nd Team
